CALL FOR PAPERS

The 2027 IEEE European Technology and Engineering Management Summit (IEEE E-TEMS 2027) brings together researchers, practitioners, policymakers and community stakeholders to explore how projects, organisations and emerging technologies can contribute to the development of smarter, more sustainable and resilient communities maximizing the quality of life. It aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and strengthen connections between project management, the built environment, digital transformation, governance and learning. Its emphasis is on the organisational and social side of building better places, and on what technology does for communities rather than on technological innovation for its own sake.

IEEE E-TEMS 2027 marks the sixth edition of the IEEE E-TEMS Conference Series. The conference is supported by the IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society (IEEE TEMS), the IEEE Smart Cities community, and the European Partnership for Project and Innovation Management (EuroPIM).

IEEE E-TEMS 2027 will be hosted by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, in Trondheim, Norway. The conference has an international reach and a strong local host and looks forward to welcoming participants to Trondheim. We invite research contributions, whether conceptual, empirical or practice-oriented, that advance understanding of how complex societal, environmental and technological challenges can be addressed through projects and collaborative forms of organising. The conference particularly welcomes research that bridges disciplinary and sectoral boundaries, offers new theoretical or methodological perspectives, demonstrates practical relevance, and generates insights that can support more sustainable, inclusive and effective communities, projects and organisations.

We will also host a doctoral workshop and welcome doctoral proposals at an early stage.
